A little bit about ME...
First and foremost - my greatest accomplishments in life are becoming a wife and mama. I am currently living in New York, NY (Staten Island to be exact) with my husband of 3 years, Tommy and 2 daughters Charlotte & Elle.
Since the moment I met my husband my life has changed in so many ways and it continues to change at a rapid pace for us! Right now we are navigating the most beautiful part of life - parenthood! - 2 under 2 years was certainly unplanned but definitely not unwanted. In the five years we have been together, I have moved half-way across the country, we got married, started a business, had a baby, expanded the business, bought our first home and then had another baby! There are so many moments where we feel completely overwhelmed with everything that is happening around us but we always remind ourselves how lucky we are and how we have worked so hard to build this beautiful life! Right now we are enjoying every second of our daughters being little and watching them grow but we do have a lot of plans for the future.
I grew up in a small town in northern West Virginia and I am so grateful for it. The life experiences that come from growing up in a small town when I did are few and far between these days. I look back and realize I had a fantastic childhood but there was always something in me that wanted to move on and experience as much as this world as possible! After college I moved around a bit starting in Pittsburgh, PA and ended up in Nashville, TN before settling in New York. I really miss the slow pace and genuine kindness of the south and someday hope to move back but for now, I am trying to enjoy everything New York has to offer us - which is a whole hell of a lot!!
I achieved a Master's Degree in Marketing but have always found myself working in the retail and fashion industry. I worked for many different brands such Michael Kors, Cole Haan, and 7 for All Mankind. When I moved to New York I started working in the showroom at rag & bone in the Meatpacking District. I was immediately immersed into the NYC Fashion Industry and I take away so much from that experience! Not only did my time there help me edit my personal style but it also introduced me to so of much this city and the culture! I left my full-time job when I found out I was pregnant so that I could stay at home to take care of my daughter and to also help my husband run his business - a CrossFit gym in Brooklyn - since he already has a full-time career with the FDNY. Staying at home isn't at all what I expected it to be... I'm busier than I ever was while working in the city and this has been the absolute best experience of my life! So much so that I started this website so I have a place to store and share my daily adventures, thoughts and projects! This space is really something where I can collect moments from life and share them with those who want to see - My only hope for anyone who reads is that they feel inspired to create and cultivate their own beautiful life story no matter where you are, where you came from or where you are going.
